Yes indeed, 64 ladies attended the reunion, Girls started to arrive at 4:oo in the afternoon but of course prior to that some already checked in earlier, some already in SPCM working. We hired a photographer to cover all our events and had a studio set up to take solo pictures of the girls to be used for our "dream yearbook".
There were a lot of screaming that went on in the lobby, Girls greeting each other with hugs and kisses. It was such a nice feeling to be able to reunite the manila girls and 16 balikbayans. Everybody looked good! So much chatting and laughter and picture taking in the function room, We were over flowing with food & alcohol, courtesy of Asia brewery, thanks to Josie Ramos and assorted hard drinks courtesy of Macrina Chico.
Sister Nieves, Sister Agnes and Sister George attended, We then presented the batch donation of PHP 50K for the Vigil House, Jae Salazar did a small speech and Sister Nieves and Sister George did too. 4 of our teachers attended. Mrs Garcia, Miss Oblefias, Miss Pena, Mrs fortes and hubby John.
Every table had one common conversational piece....high school. It was so nice to be reminded of the wonderful memories of our youth. I felt that it was too short, not enough time to catch up with everybody but certainly overwhelmed to see everyone in one room. I was actually feeling a little sad at this point knowing that all this was close to the end.
We hired a mobile disco, we had DI's and girls danced till 3:00 AM in the morning! .We had a pretty long day. But wait We needed to get a little sleep since Saturday was going to be a hectic work/rehearsal day.. And Sunday, the big day at St Paul.
