at around 7:30 p.m. already. Get-together was scheduled at 4:00
p.m., but I knew the affair would last long, so I intentionally
came
late. Peeped through the sliding door & WOW, was I surprised to see so
many Paulinians again...all together in a 'just-the-right-size' function
room at the Manor Hotel...chit-chatting, eating, laughing, each voice
drowned out by the excitement of just seeing each other after all these
years. Even I didn't know who to approach & say hello to first. One night
just isn't enough to 'touch base' with everyone present. Familiar faces
who's names I have forgotten...& vice-versa. The good ol' days, the good
ol' days. Something like going to school for the first time...you were
either too scared or too excited to go. For me, it turned out to be more
exciting to see 'old' friends again. It was also the biggest reunion, thus
far, I have attended.
It
was a lot of fun, really!!! :) Didn't even think there were still so
many of our batchmates living in the Philippines. Amazing that practically
everyone looked the same...AS YOUNG AS EVER! :) Of course, some put on a
few pounds, but hey, WE'RE EXCUSED. :))) The food was yummy, too! Thanks
to our ever gracious host that night...Mrs. Chona Dizon-Freedman! :)
I
guess we're in for an exciting homecoming celebration in
2005. Hopefully, those abroad can come home. Your website did wonders,
too, Chons! Congratulations! And, of course, let's not forget the
homecoming committee here who also did their very best in locating the
other girls.
